The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (Manex) has been tapped to present two key sessions on implementing quality at the International Tire Conference, May 5-9, 2008.
Held at the Hotel Solamar in San Diego, the International Tire Conference is part of California's commitment to effectively manage waste tires, reduce green house gases and develop cooperative relations with its neighbor, Mexico. The weeklong conference includes several rich sessions of value, including a Scrap-to-Profit symposium, a United States-Mexico Border 2012 forum, and a playground surfacing testing demonstration.
Manex's sessions, Practical Approaches to Implementing Quality and Building Quality into Your Tire-Derived Product Manufacturing Process, are cornerstones to an interactive workshop on integrating quality control practices into all types of tire-derived product manufacturing enterprises. This half-day workshop will cover the fundamentals of quality, how to define, measure and implement quality control within the business context, and illustrate the importance the quality control to increasing sales and overall company performance.
Sponsors of this conference are the California Environmental Protection Agency, the California Integrated Waste Management Board, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, the Asphalt Rubber Technology Services, and the Rubber Manufacturing Association.
